Physical Activities

This tour involves little physical activity outside of our daily walking tours. We will do our best to accommodate all physical needs, however, please ensure that you are physically able to participate in those activities without complaint, if not then this may not be the best trip for you.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Trip insurance is therefore highly recommended. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. Our suggested Travel Insurance providers are outlined below:

Payments & Payment Plans

All payments to Adventure in Black are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Adventure in Black has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.

Should you opt-in to our payment plan program, your invoice will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.

A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

As of June 12, 2022, the CDC no longer requires air passengers to show a negative COVID-19 test result, or show documentation of recovery from COVID-19, prior to boarding a flight from the United States.

PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE

Check if you need to update your passport, your expiration date needs to be more than 6 months from the date of the trip

Flights

We recommend you book your flight to Haneda Airport, officially Tokyo International Airport (HND) as early as possible, arrival time should be no later than 6:30 PM on April 17, 2024.

You will book your departure flight from Osaka Itami International Airport (ITM)), anytime on or after April 26, 2024.

MONEY/CURRENCY

Though use of credit cards and e-currency has increased in recent years, Japan is still largely a cash-based society. The national currency of Japan is the Japanese Yen (¥). While credit and debit cards are accepted by larger hotels and department stores in Japan, many places (including small shops and restaurants) will still only accept cash, especially in smaller cities and towns.

NOTES:

Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for six months beyond your travel dates. In order to participate in this experience, you must have a valid passport with an expiration date no SOONER than October 26, 2024.
